Welcome to the website dedicated to the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisers (DGSA) syllabus and examinations.

If you're in the transport business, you'll know that since 1st January 2000, most companies and other organisations involved in the transport of dangerous goods (and certain other organisations involved in transport related activities) have been required to appoint a qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser(s). This requirement, covers road, rail, and inland waterways.

An Adviser must hold a certificate gained by passing a written examination. In the UK, the examinations are set and administered by the Scottish Qualifications Authority (SQA) as the agent for the Department for Transport (DfT).

On this site you will find all the information you need about the DGSA qualification, including the complete examination syllabus - which you can view on-screen or download as a Word document - as well as a list of exam venues, examination dates, and an exam application form which can be printed and sent to the SQA.
